Unit 7: Asking the way.

In this unit we are going to review how to ask when we want to go to a place.

We are going to start with a song to review all the different places!

In this next video we´ll see one way of asking: Excuse me where is the ... ?

Climate/ El clima

 Weather: all the phenomena that ocurrs in the atmosphere: the temperature, precipitation and wind at a particular time and place.

El concepto de tiempo atmosférico se utiliza para designar a la variedad de fenómenos que suceden en la atmósfera: temperatura, precipitación y viento en un lugar y tiempo determinado.

 When the period of time is longer, 30 years or more, we talk about Climate.

Cuando se trata de un período de tiempo más extenso, como  treinta años o más, se hablará  de Clima.

              Factors which affect climate 
              Factores que afectan al clima

  

 Distance from the Equator. Places close to the Equator are hot. Places further from the Equator are colder. 

En los países cercanos al Ecuador 
hace calor y los que están alejados del Ecuador hace frío.

1.- Proximity to the Sea: It is warmer at the coasts.

 Proximidad al mar: Es más cálido en la costa.

2.- Mountains: it is colder in the mountains.

Montañas:Es más frío en las montañas.

World climates - Los climas en el mundo

We divide the world into climate zones:  One hot zone, two temperate zones and two cold zones. 

Dividimos al mundo en zonas climáticas: 1 zona cálida, dos zonas templadas y dos zonas frías.
