In this unit we are going to talk about our house.

We  are going to review how to describe objects. To do this, we have to say the material it is made of and its use.

 Apart from objects we can also describe a picture. When we describe a picture we use THERE IS/ THERE ARE AND PREPOSITIONS OF PLACE FOR EXAMPLE BETWEEN, ON, UNDER...

Hearing / El oído




You use your sense of hearing to distinguish different sounds.



Usamos el sentido del oído para diferenciar diferentes sonidos. 

 The ears are the sense organs of hearing. They have got three parts: the outer ear, the middle ear and the inner ear.


Los oídos son los órganos del sentido del oído.Tienen tres partes: el oído externo, el oído medio y el oído interno.




 The pinna is the outer ear. It captures the sound.  


La oreja es el oído externo y captura el sonido.


Then, the sound travels through  the ear canal to the eardrum. 

Después, el sonido viaja por el conducto auditivo hacia el tímpano.







The eardrum vibrates with the sound. The eardrum is connected to the small bones. These bones move when the eardrum vibrates. 

El tímpano vibra con el sonido. El tímpano está conectado a los huesecillos que también vibran cuando lo hace el tímpano.

                                             


The cochlea captures the sound vibrations.

El caracol captura las vibraciones del sonido.


 The auditory nerve takes the information to the brain. 

El nervio auditivo lleva la información al cerebro.
